Traditional Irezumi & Americana Tattoos
Tuesday ~ Saturday, during the day
Not doing portrait tattoos at the moment, just Americana & Japanese wabori/ukiyo-e style. I am doing portrait paintings by commission though, check em out in my "Fine Arts" album...
~Large On-going work is hourly,
$150 an hour ( dropped from $200 during this recession ).
~Single session tattooing (as in Americana) averages $300-$600 and is priced by the piece, not hourly...i do have a $150 minimum.
Ukiyo-e style tattoo work-times~
Heavily back-grounded arm (Sleeve) “average” 25 to 35 hours,
3/4 sleeve average 20 to 30 hours.
1/2 sleeve average 15-20 hours.
Outside upper arm averages 10 hours.
Heavily back-grounded legs average 30 to 40 hours.
Heavily back-grounded backs usually take 40 to 50 hours.
“With-out” back-grounding can be much less time.
I can get heavily booked up, currently there is a 4 to 7 month wait.
Sessions (appointments) are set for 3 to 4 Hours at a time, done weekly or bi-weekly for proper continuity of the overall large tattoo... During ongoing projects, the first session is usually taken up by a consultation, drawing and designing, as well as tattooing the outline. Over-all, the tattoo will be priced for some of design and draw time as well as tattooing, but once an entire area has been planned and laid out, i only charge for tattoo work time only, meaning i will usually not to include the draw time after first visit!
I usually draw and design "at the time of the session", some on stencil, and some on the skin, this way I still have inspiration when I am tattooing.

Messaging me a “BRIEF” description of what you would like to have done is all that is necessary. I know your tattoo may have a story behind it, but it isn’t necessary in any messages.
